Tech7 is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure – SW DevOps Engineer located Colorado Springs, CO to join our team.  This position is hybrid and will require onsite attendance per customer located in Colorado Springs, Co.

Our team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling users to address challenging real-world problems by training on disparate data sources and transferring them into actionable information. We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from government and commercial sources of Space Situational Awareness data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries.

This position requires an individual who is risk-tolerant and can focus on the recovery and attribution of our systems and applications.

Develop technical methodologies that support functional security procedures. This work includes but is not limited to performing security measures to prevent intrusion, vulnerabilities, and other threats; evaluating detection, firewall, and traffic log data to identify patterns and trends, and designing and utilizing security applications to understand and mitigate risk, and utilizing computer network defense (CND) tools to enhance an optimal level of security

Key Responsibilities:

As a Cloud DevOps engineer on our System Infrastructure Team, you will be designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, processes, and tools to automate and streamline the software product lifecycle of the organization, acting as a bridge between development and operations to deliver high-quality software faster

Work closely with hardware, software, and network engineering teams as well as operational teams in an Agile environment providing DevOps guidance required to field a continuous integration development environment. You will be the DevOps advocate to contractor and DoD management.

Build and maintain CI/CD Pipelines

Support the Desktop development environment providing cloud solutions.

Implement and manage container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks relating to security and produce program reports/briefings for management and stakeholders.

Support multiple development teams in an Agile environment to deliver measurable performance and quality.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to create and maintain security-focused tools and frameworks.

Build, maintain, improve, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure/resources using modern IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tooling.

Automate operational tasks when and where it makes sense.

Need expertise in scripting languages (Groovy, Python, Shell) as well as declarative IaC automation (Terraform and Ansible)

You will be a key member of the team, where the rubber meets the road, doing work that matters for some of the U.S. Government’s most critical missions, and utilizing the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevOps

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in current software development processes 

Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-focused environment required

Ability to communicate consistently with the government cybersecurity teams, government and contractor management, and scrum teams

Requires comprehensive understanding DevOps methodology and Amazon AWS knowledge.

Demonstrated experience with at least two of the following: containerization, software-defined networking, modern deployment strategies, database technologies, monitoring and telemetry tools.

Ability and eagerness to perform and drive any cybersecurity-related tasking to ensure successful adaptation of the systems

Requires ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.

Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills

Extraordinary communication skills

Prior experience with cloud infrastructure management (AWS or other) Experience working in Atlassian Confluence and Jira, GitLab or other dev/sec/ops tools.

Experience working in Agile lifecycle development.
