Tech7 is seeking a motivated Aerospace Engineering Intern to support our engineering team on real-world projects involving the design, analysis, and testing of aerospace systems. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience with tools, processes, and practices used in the aerospace industry.
This internship is located onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with planning, execution, and testing of ongoing tech projects.
Conduct research, document findings, and prepare reports and presentations.
Identify areas of improvement, inefficiencies, and report potential solutions
Help prepare and update engineering documentation, including drawings, test plans, reports, and configuration records.
Collaborate with cross‑functional team members (systems, software, test, manufacturing) to troubleshoot issues and implement design improvements.
Attend team stand‑ups, design reviews, and technical discussions; summarize findings and action items as needed.
Perform other entry‑level engineering tasks as assigned to support ongoing projects and program milestones.
Basic Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a B.S Aerospace Engineering program (or closely related discipline.
Strong academic performance with relevant coursework completed (e.g., statics, dynamics,
Solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles and problem‑solving methods.
Experience with at least one engineering software tool (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python, SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
U.S. person status may be required depending on project and export control constraints.
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework or project experience in one or more of the following: aerodynamics/CFD, structures/FEA, propulsion, flight mechanics, controls, or systems engineering.
Prior experience on student projects (e.g., aerospace design teams, rocketry, UAVs, CubeSats, robotics, or Formula SAE).
Familiarity with version control and basic software tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, or similar).
